The power supply fan had a small noise to it only heard when everything is silent in the room. I read in other forms that cutting out the fan guard helped reduce the noise of the fan. This power supply fan sucks air in instead of blowing air out like many standard ATA style power supplies. Since it is sucking air so close to the fan grill about 1mm I think this causes a small audible air disturbance which reduces quite a bit when grill is removed.
